Art Fundraising for Lymphedema Patients

Helen.JacksonSkyland Physical Therapy Lymphedema Treatment Center created the Helen Jackson Gibbs Memorial Art for Bandages Fund. This Bandages and Garments Fund, helps provide necessary Lymphedema compression supplies often not covered by insurance (such as bandages, sleeves and gloves) to patients who need financial assistance.

Mrs. Helen Jackson Gibbs was a very special person and she will always be remembered by us as a role model for a life well lived.  Her lust for life and positive focus on healing was an inspiration to all who knew Helen. She was licensed as a clinical social worker and family therapist. She spent most of her professional life as a teacher and school psychologist. She wrote a number of successful grants for the school system as well as a book on creative personalities of the world.

It’s easy to help! Just buy or contribute jewelry, art or small craft items which are sold in our clinic on Bleachery Blvd. in East Asheville (near the Home Depot). All proceeds go directly to the Art for Bandages Fund. We would like to thank Iana Lyles for providing her beautiful handmade jewelry and Sacred Touch Creations for donating a portion of their proceeds from the sale of beautiful tree photographs on display at Skyland Physical Therapy.

Please call or email Skyland Physical Therapy (828) 277-5763 or contact us at if you would like to donate to this not-for-profit fund via contribution or craft item to sell. Your contribution is much appreciated.
